Yoga & Mindfulness for Every Age

Rising Yogis offers programmes and resources tailored to the needs of different age groups — from children taking their first steps in school, to reflective teens. Each session blends movement, breath, and mindfulness in age-appropriate ways, supporting children and young people in:

• Primary and secondary schools

• Youth groups and community organisations

• Home-educated settings

Little Yogis (ages 4-7)

Our playful Little Yogis classes support children taking their first steps in school, blending yoga through stories, songs, imaginative play and simple poses. Sessions help children build balance, coordination, and confidence. Breath and relaxation techniques are woven in to support emotional regulation and focus, giving children tools they can carry into everyday life.

Suitable for Reception and KS1, infant schools and community groups.

    A example of what we explore over a half-term — weaving stories, songs, movement and stillness to support calm, confidence and connection:

    • Week 1: Hello, Yoga! – Meeting yoga through play, breath and familiar shapes


    • Week 2: Big Feelings, Little Bodies – Moving through emotion with animal poses and breath


    • Week 3: Standing Strong – Balancing and building confidence through strong poses


    • Week 4: Finding Calm – Practising quiet bodies, mindful listening, and gentle rest


    • Week 5: Stretch & Shine – Exploring creative movement and self-expression


    • Week 6: Rainbow Relaxation – A special session with calm breathing, affirmations, and guided rest. Sessions are short, playful and grounded in rhythm and repetition. Each child is encouraged to explore in their own way — there’s no right or wrong, just a space to grow and shine.

Growing Yogis (ages 7-12)

In our Growing Yogis classes, children playfully explore a wider range of poses and sequences, developing strength, flexibility and body awareness. Sessions weave in simple mindfulness and breathing techniques to nurture calm, focus, and resilience, supporting both wellbeing and learning in and out of the classroom.

Suitable for KS2 and early KS3, primary schools, prep schools and community groups.

    A playful and purposeful journey through yoga, breath and mindfulness — helping children build resilience, focus, and emotional awareness in a fun, accessible way:

    • Week 1: Arrive & Explore – Settling in, learning how yoga supports our bodies and minds


    • Week 2: Move Through Emotion – Using poses and breath to recognise and shift how we feel


    • Week 3: Strong Bodies, Calm Minds – Building focus and strength through fun, flowing sequences


    • Week 4: Pause & Breathe – Introducing mindfulness and rest as tools we can return to


    • Week 5: Express & Create – Exploring imagination, self-expression, and group connection


    • Week 6: Reflect & Shine – A calm, affirming close with relaxation, gratitude, and takeaways. Each session blends movement, breathwork and quiet time — with space for children to connect, feel safe, and be themselves.

Teen Yogis (ages 13-18)

Our Teen Yogis classes offer supportive, grounding spaces blending yoga postures, breathwork and mindfulness. Sessions are always adapted to the energy and needs of the group on the day. We explore mindful movement, stillness, and affirmations to support mental health, a sense of belonging, and focus both in and out of the classroom. Classes help teens manage stress, regulate emotions, and build self-esteem, while finding space to pause, breathe, and believe in themselves.

Suitable for KS3 to KS5, secondary schools, colleges and youth groups.

    A supportive space to stretch, reflect, and reconnect — helping teens manage stress, build strength, and find moments of calm through yoga, breath and mindfulness:

    • Week 1: Ground & Arrive – Rooting into the body through simple movement and steady breath


    • Week 2: Feel & Flow – Exploring how emotions show up physically, with flowing sequences to release tension


    • Week 3: Strength & Stability – Building physical strength and balance to support inner resilience


    • Week 4: Boundaries & Breath – Using strong poses and grounding breath to support self-awareness


    • Week 5: Let Go to Grow – Releasing stress and pressure through movement, rest and reflection


    • Week 6: Shine & Reflect – A closing session to celebrate calm, confidence and personal growth. Classes combine breath, flow and stillness — building physical and emotional resilience. Every practice is adaptable and inclusive, with space for teens to move, rest, and reconnect in their own way.
